Power cut, burning smell, sparking socket, RCD that won't reset — call us now. NAPIT-registered, owner-operated, and based locally in South Gloucestershire.
Before you call us — follow these steps to keep yourself safe.
If it is safe to reach, turn off the main switch on your consumer unit (fuse box). This isolates the whole property from the supply.
If water has reached your electrics, do not enter the affected area until you have confirmed power is off at the consumer unit.
Evacuate the property immediately and call 999 first. Only call us once the Fire Service has confirmed it is safe to re-enter.
Once you and your household are safe, call 07590 517472. We will advise you over the phone and attend as quickly as possible.
These are the situations we deal with most frequently. If yours isn't listed, call — we'll advise straight away.
The consumer unit has failed, blown, or is making noise. We diagnose the fault, make safe and provide a quote to repair or replace.
Whole property has no power. We identify whether the fault is internal (your installation) or with the network (call 105 first).
Your RCD trips immediately on reset, indicating a live fault on the circuit. We isolate and identify the cause.
A hot or burning smell from electrical equipment is a fire risk. We trace the source, isolate it and advise on safe repair.
Visible arcing, scorch marks or a socket that feels hot to touch. Isolated and made safe on arrival.
Flooding, burst pipes or roof leaks near electrical fittings. We assess what can be dried out and what must be replaced.
Someone has received a shock from a fitting or appliance. We investigate the cause and ensure the installation is safe.
Storm damage to external wiring, meters or distribution equipment. We make safe and liaise with Western Power if needed.
A dedicated high-load circuit has tripped and will not reset. Often caused by element failure or an overload.
Clear process, no surprises. You'll know the price before we touch anything.
We pick up or call back as quickly as possible. Describe the situation and we'll give immediate safety advice over the phone.
We give you an honest arrival estimate. On arrival, we diagnose the fault before any work starts.
You receive a clear, fixed price before we start. No hidden charges, no hourly surprises.
We carry out the work — either a full repair or a temporary safe isolation with a return visit booked.
Where required, we issue a Minor Works Certificate or Electrical Installation Certificate.
We are based in Yate, South Gloucestershire and cover the following areas for emergency call-outs. Not sure if we cover your postcode? Call us — if we can get to you we will.
Available 24/7 for genuine emergencies
When you call Live Line Electrical, you speak directly to Greg Piskozub — a NAPIT-registered electrician with 15 years of hands-on experience and a background in property development. There's no call centre, no contractor roulette. You get a straight answer from the person who'll be coming to help you.
Greg founded Live Line Electrical because he saw too many customers left in the dark — literally and figuratively — by firms that were slow to respond, unclear on pricing, or sent out different engineers every time. We operate differently: local, personal, accountable.

An electrical emergency is any situation that poses an immediate risk to safety or leaves your property without power unexpectedly. This includes: complete loss of power, burning smells from sockets or the fuse board, sparking or melting sockets, an RCD that will not stay reset, water contact with electrics, exposed live wires, or an electric shock incident.
If it is safe, switch off the main switch on your consumer unit. Do not touch anything that looks damaged, wet or melted. If there is a burning smell or smoke, evacuate and call 999 first. Once the immediate danger is managed, call us on 07590 517472 and we'll advise you over the phone.
If your RCD trips once and resets cleanly, it needs investigating but isn't necessarily an emergency. If the RCD will not stay on — or trips immediately on reset — that is a live fault and should be treated as urgent. Call us and we'll advise whether it needs same-day attendance.
We aim to respond to genuine emergencies the same day where possible. We'll give you an honest arrival estimate when you call. We cover Bristol, Yate, Thornbury, Chipping Sodbury and surrounding areas in South Gloucestershire.
Out-of-hours work may carry a different rate to standard daytime hours. We are always transparent about pricing — you'll receive a clear quote before any work starts, regardless of when we attend.
Yes. Once we have assessed the fault on site, we give you a fixed quote before starting work. We don't charge for work without your prior approval.

Yes. Where required by BS 7671, we issue a Minor Works Certificate (for small repairs) or an Electrical Installation Certificate (for more significant work). This is important for insurance and property records.
